Demographics: MA M Phil Biswamitra Sahu
Biswamitra Sahu (PhD Spatial Sciences) analyzed the correlation between religion and the number of children given birth to by women from religious minorities. She collected data on location and interviewed over a hundred people about the role that religion plays in their daily lifes. One of the insights this research gave her was that well informed women are more prone to place the health of their children above the adherence to religious rules.
