It seems as though more and more children are being diagnosed with dyslexia. Is dyslexia just a hype? A quick browse on the internet certainly makes it look that way. There’s talk of dyslexia policies, dyslexia diagnoses, dyslexia protocols, dyslexia monitoring, dyslexia clinics, dyslexia support cards, dyslexia glasses, dyslexia coaching, master plans for dyslexia, and dyslexia care following CvZ protocols. Are you still following?

Children with dyslexia have persistent problems with reading and writing that are not related to their intelligence. Once in school, they can receive what’s called a dyslexia diagnosis, which entitles them to various forms of support. But that’s not the end of the story. It’s not easy to determine which treatments and tools are most suitable for each child. In many schools, teachers, remedial teachers, and language support staff struggle with this issue. What tools are available? What actually helps, and what doesn’t?
