Twee interactieve lezingen participatief onderzoek

'Living Lab & Storytelling', door Dr. Annelies Kassenberg

Deze workshop laat zien hoe je samen met de doelgroep van je onderzoek, onderzoek kunt uitvoeren vanuit een kenniswerkplaats (living lab). Onderzoekers en professionals (en eventuele ander betrokkenen) uit de praktijk leren van elkaar. Daarnaast laten we zien hoe je samen met de doelgroep op een laagdrempelige manier data kunt verzamelen via ‘storytelling’ en daarmee tegelijkertijd werkt aan het empowerment van de doelgroep. Dr. Annelies Kassenberg werkt als associate lector bij het lectoraat Integraal jeugdbeleid en als docent bij de pabo, beide onderdeel van de Hanze hogeschool.

'Participatory Music Approaches in Elderly Care: The researcher as a reflexive participant', by Krista Pyykönen

Krista Pyykönen (MMusEd, MMus) is a violinist, music educator and a PhD-student at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She works as a teacher at Prince Claus Conservatoire in Groningen and as a member of the research group Lifelong Learning in Music of Research Centre Art & Society at Hanze University of Applied Sciences Groningen.

This presentation showcases participatory music approaches in elderly care for creating social engagement within the shared musical situation between patients, care professionals and musicians. With musical demonstrations, Krista Pyykönen draws upon her current PhD-research (2016 -) i nto the meaning of artistic participatory music practices for healthcare professionals in elderly care, as well as her research “Many Memories, Many Stories” (2013) into designing a participatory music project for Finnish-speaking elderly people with dementia in Sweden. Krista discusses her double-role as a researcher-participant and as a musician-facilitator in these research contexts and what it means regarding researcher reflexivity.
