14 April 2022

Ane Walinga has been part of the Industry Relations team since April 1, 2022. As a trainee with our team he focuses mainly on the Smart Industry Hub. Within this theme he brings research and industry together to stimulate collaboration and knowledge transfer. He will, for example, be responsible for the organization of meet & greets.

Ane studied at the University of Groningen and after a bachelor in Business Administration and working at Essity, he completed the master in Economic Geography. Herein he focused on regional development and training participation of self-employed people. After his studies he worked for FrieslandCampina as an inside salesman. In this position he was, among other things, involved with the cheese export to Latin America.

Besides his work for Industry Relations, Ane also works as a trainee for Business Generator Groningen. Business Generator Groningen supports researchers of the UG and the UMCG in bringing their research to the market. Within this organization he focuses on screening and scouting in the theme of water technology. Ane works two days a week for both Industry Relations and Business Generator Groningen.

We are very happy that Ane has joined our team and wish him lots of success at Industry Relations.
