MicroLab - Advanced educational design
Courses can be designed in multiple ways. But have you ever wondered which educational model and theories fit best to the content and target audience of your course? In this course we will focus on several educational models like; universal design for learning, flipped classroom and many others. We will focus on using the best elements from these models for your own course in order to get the most out of it.
Synchronous session: 18 January 2022 from 9.30-12.00
University teachers who finished the UTQ or UTQ Designing & Evaluating module
Online activities in Nestor learning environment and sessions in Blackboard Collaborate or on-site
Asynchronous activities: 3 hours
Participants can choose:
Prior knowledge on the basics of educational design as discussed in the UTQ module Designing & Evaluating is required (i.e. constructive alignment)
After successful completion of this course you are able to:
- Describe the characteristics of several educational models;
- Describe if and how the educational models could be implemented in your own education;
- (Re)design your course with the principles of one of the educational models discussed.
