New features are regularly added to Nestor. These can be used to:

  • Save time, for example by administering tests digitally or organizing group work
  • Encourage students to spend more time on your course unit, for example by writing a Wiki together or setting up short formative tests
  • Schedule communication, for example by inviting a colleague from abroad as a 'remote guest lecturer' or organizing a consultation hour via chat (this may save a lot of e-mails!)
  • Use Nestor in a target-oriented rather than supply-oriented way, for example by showing students exactly what they have to do when they enter Nestor, rather than showing them what information is available.
  • Monitor student progress

This course will start by looking at a few examples of good practice from your colleagues. What problems did they have and how did they use Nestor to solve them? Next, you will start working in your own Nestor course according to your own wishes and the options offered by your course unit. With some help, you will develop a course in Nestor that will save you time, stimulate your students to become more active or make the course unit more enjoyable for your students.
