Do you want to make an impact with your business idea? Then the VentureLab startup accelerator program could be for you.

VentureLab is a collaboration of the entrepreneurship centers of the University of Groningen and the Hanze University of Applied Sciences. The program is for students with a good idea, for PhD students who see a business opportunity from their research, but certainly also for experienced managers who want to become entrepreneurs in a company that sees a growth opportunity with an innovative idea for example. These are people or teams who want to shape themselves and their business idea professionally from the start.

During a 1-year program, VentureLab helps with three important elements:

  • training
  • coaching
  • networking

Every 4 months a so-called Business Panel is organized in which you can test the progress of your business (idea) against a number of "industry experts" and investors. The program is a kind of 'mini-MBA', focused on your own business (idea), with your own personal coach, and with access to a network of industry experts and investors.

The program focuses on the markets that are important to the North: Energy, Health, Agri / Food, IT / AI, Chemistry, Water and Social Entrepreneurship. Your business (idea) must be scalable and focused on growth, also internationally. That is why the language of instruction in the program is English.

At the end of January 2021, a new group will start in the program.
