Prof. Edwin Woerdman: 'Abolishing fossil subsidies in the Netherlands unnecessary for meeting EU's CO2 targets'

Together with several energy experts, professors Machiel Mulder and Edwin Woerdman argue in ESB, a Dutch economics journal, that abolishing fossil subsidies in the Netherlands will have no effect on CO2 emissions, while it will affect competitiveness. Their thought-provoking publication was front-page news in the Financial Times of the Netherlands (Het Financieele Dagblad) of 9 October 2023.
