Prof. Pablo Valdivia has been voted Lecturer of the Year of the Faculty of Arts.
According to the Jury Pablo's way of presenting was engaging as well as very relatable. He started off with a case study related to "bubbles" which crystalized the idea that we are all preoccupied with our own lives in essence. Based on this he related various theories and concepts to this example, showing the relevance of his research to various different areas, not just the classroom.
By winning the faculty lecturer of the year, prof. Valdivia is automatically nominated for the University of Groningen Lecturer of the Year election on 30 January 2019.
