Hans Renders visiting professor in Aix-en-Provence

From October 15 to November 15, Hans Renders will be visiting professor at the University of Aix-Marseille, at the invitation of the Faculté des Arts, Lettres, Langues et Sciences Humaines of this university. As vice president of La Société de Biographie, Renders already presented several lectures in Aix-en-Provence last year. Now he has been asked to give a master class for PhD students doing research on the history and theory of biography or who are writing a biography. His activities will start with a public lecture entitled: ‘Biography in Public Life: The Biographer, The Publisher, The Press and The Market’.

About Hans Renders

Hans Renders is Professor of History and Theory of Biography and director of the Biography Institute (University of Groningen). He is co-founder and board member of Biographers International Organization and co-founder of La Société de Biographie. This year, together with Binne de Haan and Jonne Harmsma, he will publish the volume The Biographical Turn. Lives in History (Routledge).
