Clinical neuropsychology of patients with neurological or psychiatric diseases
I am interested in the cognitive, motor and emotional functioning of children and adults with neurological or psychiatric diseases. In this context, I am performing studies on patients with brain tumours, Parkinson’s disease, traumatic brain injury, Tourette’s syndrome and depression. These studies do not only focus on the nature of the deficits but also on the effects of pharmacological and neurosurgical treatments as well as neuropsychological rehabilitation. In recent years, my main interest was in the field of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder with an emphasis on attentional dysfunctioning and risk behaviour. Furthermore, I am engaged in the development of neuropsychological test procedures.
