Life-span learning and development
Would you like to gain insights in how individuals develop from relatively dependent infants to active contributors to society?
In the research domain Lifespan Development and Socialization, a multidisciplinary approach to human development is taken that includes social, cognitive, educational and emotional processes and covers the development of the individual across childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. We take a lifespan perspective on how humans develop in interaction with parents, teachers, and partners as well as larger interpersonal networks in schools and communities. We do so from the perspective from the fields of Educational Sciences, Developmental Psychology and Sociology. The goal is to understand the processes that are involved in learning, identity, socialization, psychopathology, and healthy ageing.
