Academic calendar

The academic year consists of two semesters and each semester is divided into two periods. The dates for the academic year 2023-2024 are:

Semester 1A

Lecture period : Monday 4 September 2023 - Friday 27 October 2023
Exam period: Monday 30 October 2023 - Friday 10 November 2023
Resit period: Monday 4 December 2023 - Friday 22 December 2023

Semester 1B

Lecture period: Monday 13 November 2023 - Friday 19 January 2024
Exam period: Monday 22 January 2024 - Friday 2 February 2024
Resit period: Monday 26 February 2024 - Friday 15 March 2024

Semester 2A

Lecture period: Monday 5 February 2024 - Thursday 28 February 2024
Exam period: Tuesday 2 April 2024 - Friday 12 April 2024
Resit period: Monday 6 May 2024 - Friday 24 May 2024

Semester 2B

Lecture period: Monday 15 April 2024 - Friday 7 June 2024
Exam period: Monday 10 June 2024 - Friday 21 June 2024
Resit period: Monday 24 June 2024 - Friday 12 July 2024

Vacation days

The period from 25 December 2023 until 7 January 2024 and the period from 15 July 2024 until 1 September 2024 are periods without any lectures or exams. All University services are closed on the following days:

• Between Christmas and New Year: 25 December 2023 until 1 January 2024
• Good Friday: 29 March 2024
• Easter Monday: 1 April 2024
• Ascension Day: 9 May 2024
• Whit Monday: 20 May 2024

Schedules

The schedules are made by the Education office. The schedules are preliminary, changes are always possible. You will be notified of changes in the schedules, on Nestor or by e-mail. Courses offered outside the programmes of the Faculty of Spatial Sciences are not available in the schedules of the Faculty. Please check the information and the schedule of the Faculty where the course is offered.
