Femke Cnossen to Coimbra Group Three-Minute-Thesis Competition in Krakow
"Should you fear technology?" That was the question PhD student Femke Cnossen, from the Faculty of Economics and Business, addressed during her prize-winning pitch at the UG 3MT competition held in March of this year. In just three minutes, Cnossen engaged the judges and the audience with her research into the effects of automation and globalization on the wages and careers of Dutch workers, and was awarded first prize in the competition.
A video of her winning pitch was sent to the Coimbra Group as the UG's entry for their International 3MT competiton. From the 19 submitted video's they received from Universities throughout Europe, just three entries were selected for the finals, and Cnossen is one of the three finalists! She will soon be heading to Krakow, Poland to compete at the 3MT International finals at the Coimbra Group's Annual Conference which takes place from June 5th - 7th.
