Additional information

Eligible candidates:

Do you have the ambition to pursue your career in (bio)medical or pharmaceutical research? Then you may want to apply to one of the talent grants of the Graduate School of Medical Sciences (GSMS) of the University of Groningen in The Netherland. People from all countries over the world can attend the Graduate School.

Grant information:

The Abel Tasman Talent Program provides partial scholarships to selected students who hold a non-EU/EEA nationality and who have been admitted to one of the Graduate School of Medical Sciences’ master’s programs: Clinical and Psychosocial Epidemiology or Molecular Medicine and Innovative Treatment.

ATTP offers two types of scholarships to selected excellent students:

  1. Tuition fee scholarship: covers full tuition fee (for two academic years)
  2. Tuition fee + partial living costs scholarship: covers full tuition fee (for two academic years) and partial living allowance of €400 per month (for a total 24 months)

Please be aware that both types of scholarships do require that you have additional (complementary) financial means. The Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Services (IND), will only issue a visa if you are able to provide proof you have the means to support yourself financially and for the duration of the entire study program. Consult the website of the IND for these so-called “minimum requirements”. The 2020-requirement is that you have approximately €900 per month at your disposal. Note that amounts are indexed annually, on 1 January
