Second degree programme

  • What tuition fees should I pay if I am enrolled in several degree programmes?

This depends on the tuition fees category that applies to the different degree programmes.

More information can be found on the Tuition fees when enrolled in more than one degree programme page of our website.

    Ask your question

  • Do I have to pay double tuition fees if I follow two degree programmes at the University of Groningen?

You can simultaneously enrol in more than one Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme. Depending on the tuition fees category that applies to the different degree programmes, you will then either have to pay the statutory tuition fees once or separate tuition fees for each programme.

    Ask your question

  • What is the proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC)?

The proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) is a document providing that you have paid your tuition fees.

You can request a proof of payment tuition fees in two ways:

Before a BBC can be issued, your enrolment (and thus your tuition payment or direct debit mandate) must have been processed.

    Ask your question

  • I am also enrolled at another institution for higher education. How do I obtain a proof of payment of tuition fees?

The proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) is a document providing that you have paid your tuition fees.

You can request a proof of payment tuition fees in two ways:

Before a BBC can be issued, your enrolment (and thus your tuition payment or direct debit mandate) must have been processed.

    Ask your question

  • I am paying my tuition fees in instalments and not all instalments have been paid. Can I still apply for a proof of payment of tuition fees?

Yes, you can. The direct debit mandate constitutes as a proof of payment, which means you can apply for the proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC).

    Ask your question

  • I have already paid tuition fees to another institution for higher education. Should I also pay tuition fees to the University of Groningen?

No, you don't need to pay tuition fees to the University of Groningen if you have already paid the tuition fees to another institution for higher education. However, the University of Groningen needs a proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) before you can be register at the university. You can request the BBC from the student administration of the other institution.

    Ask your question
