  • Do I have to pay double tuition fees if I follow two degree programmes at the University of Groningen?

    You can simultaneously enrol in more than one Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme. Depending on the tuition fees category that applies to the different degree programmes, you will then either have to pay the statutory tuition fees once or separate tuition fees for each programme.

  • What is the proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC)?

    The proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) is a document providing that you have paid your tuition fees.

    You can request a proof of payment tuition fees in the following way:
    • Via Studielink you can indicate that you wish to pay with a Tuition fee payment receipt.
    • Fill in the form Application form statements and the BBC will be sent to the institution where you wish to enroll.
    Before a BBC can be issued, your enrollment (and thus your tuition payment or direct debit mandate) must have been processed.
  • I am also enrolled at another institution for higher education. How do I obtain a proof of payment of tuition fees?

    The proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) is a document providing that you have paid your tuition fees.

    Yes, you can. The direct debit mandate constitutes as a proof of payment, which means you can apply for the proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC).

  • I have already paid tuition fees to another institution for higher education. Should I also pay tuition fees to the University of Groningen?

    No, you don't need to pay tuition fees to the University of Groningen if you have already paid the tuition fees to another institution for higher education. However, the University of Groningen needs a proof of payment of tuition fees (BBC) before you can be register at the university. You can request the BBC via Studielink or  from the student administration of the other institution.

  • What will happen if you finish the first programme?

    If you have been simultaneously enrolled in two Bachelor’s or two Master’s degree programmes. When you finish the first programme, you are allowed to continue with the second degree programme for the statutory tuition fees . You will, however, have to remain continuously registered from the moment you gained your first degree and satisfy the nationality requirements.
