Sievert

The sievert (Sv) is the unit of effective dose (E) and equivalent dose (H). The unit is named after the Swedish medical physicist Rolf Maximilian Sievert (1896 - 1966).
1 sievert (Sv) = 1 joule (J) / 1 kilogram (kg)
The sievert is also used as unit for the derived quantities:
- ambient dose equivalent
- collective effective dose
- committed effective dose
- committed equivalent dose

- personal dose equivalent
