Improve your English in just two weeks with our intensive January courses

30 November 2020
Intensive English courses

Do you want to work intensively on your English proficiency? In January, the University of Groningen Language Centre will again offer short, intensive English language courses. In the space of just a fortnight, you will become fully immersed in the language.

In these courses the teacher will give you a lot of personal attention and the key focus is on learning the language as a group. The lessons themselves focus on speaking and interacting with your fellow students. You will often be working in small groups, which makes it easier to collaborate on assignments and practise your oral skills.

Your independent study hours will be based on the course material, the website that comes with the book, and the University learning environment, which has a wide range of online language learning tools. There will be plenty of time to ask questions about the independent study material during the lessons.

How is the course structured?

You will follow lessons 4 days a week, for 2 hours and 15 minutes per day; from 9 to 11.15 a.m. In addition, you will be expected to spend about 3-4 hours a day on independent study.
