Apollo Advanced Editor

The Apollo Advanced Editor course is designed for employees who create, edit and publish pages and is the sequel to the Basic Editor course. This course covers folder management within the Apollo Content Manager and various document types not covered during the Reviewer and Basic Editor course.

The course is offered online and participants can follow it at a time appropriate to them and at their own pace.

Important: registration for the course is in consultation with the web coordinator of the faculty or department. After approval, you can handle the registration yourself.

As the new Apollo editor will completely replace the previous Prospero editor, we recommend that you only follow the Apollo courses. Signing up for the Prospero course is only by request of the web coordinator.

    Goal

    This online course teaches you to work with the Apollo editor and the Apollo Content Manager.

    Successful completion of the course is a condition for obtaining editing rights as a Advanced Editor on the website.

    Content

    Global content of the course

    • Working with the Apollo Content Manager (publish, unpublish, duplicate, rename, move, delete)
    • Adding and publishing new pages such as: Subhomepage, Topic Page, StartPage, Menu, Link Object)
    • Folder management within the Content Manager
    • Features such as 'Show What Links Here', 'Link Scanner' and the 'Publication Manager'.
    Prerequisites

    A prerequisite for following this course is that you have followed the course Apollo Basic Editor and the course Writing for the web .

    Important: Registration for the course is always done in consultation with the web coordinator of your faculty or service department. After approval from the web coordinator, you can complete the application using the link 'Course enrollment'.

    At the starting date of the course you will receive an e-mail with an explanation and a link to the online course and practice area.
    The course can be taken in Dutch or English.

    After completing the course you will be signed up for the newsletter web editors and your web coordinator will be notified.

    Duration

    You can take the course at your convenient time and at your own pace. Because the course consists of several components, we recommend that you reserve several half-days for the course.

    Please note: you have 1 month to complete the course and hand in the final assignment.
