Alumni Circle

Inspiring meetings at special locations in Amsterdam

Above 6000 ex-Groningers live or work in the Amsterdam area. They gather twice a year to meet former UG-classmates in an easy going ambiance. While enjoying snacks and drinks they engage with inspiring alumni or academics who share their knowledge, like prof Harry Garretsen, prof Klaas Knot, President DNB, prof. Gerard Koppelman, Paul Laseur, BNR radio, prof Jan Lokin, prof Annie van den Over, Director Eye filmarchief, Jeroen Smit, journalist and prof Janka Stoker. At the same time relations are strengthened and developed with each-other and the University.

The locations? Often interesting workplaces of alumni, such as the Bijenkorf, The stock exchange Euronext Amsterdam, the Dutch Central Bank, het Rijksmuseum.

Did you know? That the alumnicircle Amsterdam lies at the basis of the cooperation between MIcompany and UMCG to make the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) available to really understand asthma and allergy risks.
