50% tuition fee reimbursement for International School pupils

As of the 2019/2020 school year the reimbursement of the school fees is maximized on 5 years, provided that the conditions are met.

The reimbursement applies to employees who make use of the 30% facility.

The reimbursement of 50% of the school fees will apply for each child. If both partners work at the University of Groningen, 50% of the school fees will be reimbursed (rather than 2x 50%).

If an employee receives reimbursement that relates to a period after the end or expiry of the employment contract, or after the discontinuation or termination of the 30% facility, the employee is obliged to repay the reimbursement amount. The reimbursement shall in any case be discontinued at the above-mentioned moments.

For employees who leave employment during the school year or whose 30% disposition ends, the allowance will be prorated.

International schools in the Groningen area that meet the requirements set by the Tax Authorities are: the Maartenscollege International School in Groningen (secondary school) and the international Department of the Groningen School Association (primary school).
