M. Soppen and A. Sfintesco, Bries
During this lecture Maarten Soppe will tell a personal story about his development from an entrepreneur in a highly commercial sector to a social entrepreneur. He will give an insight into his professional career and how sustainability has become a part of it. He will also discuss the personal dilemmas for him as an entrepreneur: radical change or gradual transition. The emphasis of this lecture is on what you can do as an entrepreneur and as an individual and where Maarten his motivation comes from. Maarten contributes, among other things, to the following social companies: Toentje, Bie de Buuf, and Stichting Waardig Wonen.
In the second part, Alexandra Sfintesco will discuss an example from her experience and will put the participants to work. In short, this workshop will focus on what you can do as an individual and what contribution the participants may be able to provide in various future roles: entrepreneur, advisor, researcher or policy maker.
