Ward Romeijnders (Economics and Business)
Currently, researchers in optimizations are increasingly recognizing the opportunities of data science and of big data as a result of the increasing digitalization and globalization. To comply with this trend, it is important that students learn how to combine data science and optimization first-hand, learning-by-doing. I will facilitate this, using this fellowship, by developing data-driven case studies in stochastic optimization for Research Master students in Economics and Business. The innovative educational idea is to involve Research Master students in the development of these case studies.
