After a first period in the University Council, in which I:
- have supported the creation of the critical self-evaluation for the Institutional Audit Quality assurance;
- made sure there was a solid employee satisfaction survey in which work pressure got extra attention;
- and emphasized an evaluation of the decision making in the Yantai case,
I am now eligible for a second period in the University Council.
In the next year the UG will shape its new course. With a brand new Board of the University we will give shape to the Strategic Plan 2020-2025. Work pressure and internationalisation will be two important topics in this plan, topics that also are of major interest for the Personnel Faction.
I am confident that we can come to a fruitful collaboration with a new board and we will face a fresh and positive future for the university. I will do my best to assure a challenging and inspiring environment for both employees as students of the UG, in which they won’t be overloaded.
With a no-nonsense and critical, but constructive eye working toward an university we can all be proud of.
