Gerritse is described as a lecturer who excels in the supervision of workgroups, who motivates people, and who can explain and communicate the subject material. Students praise his command of the field of expertise, which enables them to master the domain more thoroughly. They also appreciate his honest comments and suggestions after every presentation. ‘An outstanding tutorial, given by a very skilful lecturer who is well versed in the subject, so that it was also stimulating for the students. I enjoyed this tutorial and the lecturer is the best I have experienced at this university.’ Gerritse structures his lectures in a transparent way and his study groups are very useful to acquiring a better understanding of the material. He has a dry sense of humour that comes over well and makes the tutorials more enjoyable. ‘I happily attended his tutorials, even when they were at nine in the morning!’
