Are you working on a research topic that could contribute to the future of energy systems, cleantech, or water innovation? Whether it is an emerging insight, an early-stage prototype, or simply a promising idea—Innokite Weekend offers a unique opportunity to explore its real-world potential.

From 4–6 July, Innokite, the University of Groningen’s incubator for knowledge-intensive innovation, is hosting a weekend dedicated to shaping impactful ideas. The event brings together researchers, students, and mentors in an energetic and collaborative environment aimed at transforming ideas into actionable solutions.

There are two ways to participate:

• Submit your idea to potentially have a team formed around it. If selected, your participation will be free of charge.

• Join as a participant to work on another selected idea—no prior preparation required.

The format is low-threshold, with team formation happening largely before the weekend, and support provided for submitting your idea. Innokite also works under NDA to protect intellectual input, and there is no obligation to continue afterward—though support is available if you wish to take your idea further.
