New Starting Date: 1 February

01 February 2024

University College Groningen made a significant update to its Liberal Arts and Sciences bachelor programme. Starting from the Academic Year 2024/2025, students will have the option to start their academic journeys not only in the traditional Fall semester but also in the Spring semester, with a new start date as of 1 February 2025.

This change aims to provide greater flexibility for prospective students, allowing them to choose the semester that aligns better with their personal timelines and academic preferences. The Liberal Arts and Sciences programme will now feature two distinct starting dates – 1 September for the Fall semester and 1 February for the Spring semester.

For students enrolling in the Spring semester, they will seamlessly integrate into the existing cohort that began their studies in the Fall. University College Groningen aims to ensure a cohesive academic experience for all students, fostering a sense of community and collaboration within the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme.

University College Groningen believes that this new starting date enhances the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme as it will contribute to a more diverse student body, enriching the overall educational experience. Detailed information regarding application procedures, deadlines, and other pertinent details for the Spring semester intake will be made available shortly.

The Faculty looks forward to welcoming a new wave of students to its Liberal Arts and Sciences programme, starting in both the Fall and Spring semesters from 2025 onwards.
