The Leprechaun Language, Differing opinions on bilingualism on the Emerald Isle by Charlotte Buijs
Charlotte Buijs, a student in Applied Linguistics went to Ireland and Northern Ireland to investigate differences in the use of English and Gaelic. To find out these differences she interviewed citizens on the subject and took a good look around. What is the position of Gaelic nowadays on both sides of the border? And how has language been dragged into Ireland's dirty wars. An interesting portrait of a complicated situation.
