The University of Groningen stimulates interdisciplinary research, and facilitates a unique environment for collaboration between different disciplines and innovation projects with societal partners. We intend with our innovation agendas to present our research plans in a variety of areas to be performed in cooperation with relevant stakeholders. The subject of Green Industry provides us with great opportunities and complex challenges at the same time. The agenda is based on key regional sustainability targets and explores the university's strong and distinct position regarding the development of green industries. The multidisciplinary research being carried out by our researchers covers a wide range of topics, and three main themes are explored in detail, namely:

- Systems’ Integration & Society.

Our innovation agenda consists of four themes to study smart mobility in sustainable open and connected mobility and logistics networks by focusing on the four key elements of smart mobility, namely smart modes of transportation, infrastructure, tools and information systems from a people, private and public perspective.
