on Corporate Academy
14 December 2023

Do you want to learn the basics of programming in Python or in R? Do you want to use GIS in your research project? Or bring your research into the spotlight and learn to tell your story with maps.

Via Corporate Academy we offer several IT courses to enhance your IT skills!

Introduction to R (online/hybrid)

In this beginners course we'll guide you through the basics of importing data, cleaning and restructuring the data, visualizing and summarizing your data, and finally applying statistical models on your data.

Python - Introduction to Programming (online/hybrid)

In this introductory course we'll use python to show you the most important tools in programming; conditions, loops, functions, and datatypes like integers, floats, strings, lists, tuples, dictionaries and eventually classes.

Storymapping

Most UG researchers and students have a lot of knowledge and data on their research subjects. In this course we learn and help you to build a visual story based on scientific research. With storymapping you can give your narrative a stronger sense of place, simply illustrate relationships between places and add visual examples such as photo’s of video’s to your ideas.

Introduction to GIS for PhD students

In this course we will cover how to design your research with GIS as well as the main geo-tools for data collection, analysis and visualization. You will also have the possibility to receive free consulting on your data/project by one of our GIS-consultant to help you get further in your research.
