Travel and Accomodation

On behalf of the academic conference committee Peter van der Sijde (VU-Amsterdam), Gary Cook (University of Liverpool) and Aard Groen (University of Groningen & University of Twente), this is an invitation to participate in the HTSF conference 2015. This year the University of Groningen Centre of Entrepreneurship (UGCE) will be the host of the conference in close collaboration with SOM research institute of the school for economics and business.

In the HTSF conference researchers on knowledge (technology and other knowledge) intensive entrepreneurship convene to discuss the current state of research on technology based entrepreneurship in small and large, new and old firms. Furthermore, as much of the work presented is work in progress we would like to discuss the future of this research. Special topic this year will be the ways how to organize research exchange in our HTSF technology based entrepreneurship community. Therefore, several (associate-) editors of journals in our field will be present. Moreover it includes a special programme for young researchers studying the next generation of technology (and science) based entrepreneurship research. This special programme consists of a three day doctoral program (starting on June 3) and the conference days.

This conference will include key notes on technology based entrepreneurship research, teaching and support, both from academic speakers (a.o. Dr. Andreas Rauch, U.Groningen, prof. Steven Walsh, UNew Mexico/UT) as well as from practice and policy. We will give you the opportunity to present and discuss your research papers (from work in progress to almost ready for publication). We will organize a PhD research training where PhD’s can present and discuss their work with experienced researchers.

Several editors of entrepreneurship and innovation journals will be there (e.g. Technovation, Creativity and Innovation Management, Technology Forecasting and Social Change), and there will be good opportunities to discuss your work with them.

NIKOS (The Netherlands Institute for Knowledge Intensive Entrepreneurship) Venturelab International and the hosting institute UGCE (University of Groningen Centre of Entrepreneurship) sponsor this event.
