A safe and pleasant work environment

The University of Groningen aims to be a university where students and staff feel respected and at home, regardless of visible and invisible differences in backgrounds, experiences, perspectives, characteristics, and identity.We believe that student and staff diversity enriches academic debate and contributes to improved quality of our teaching and research. Diversity, inclusion, and equity are important core values for the UG and are part of our shared responsibility.

UG initiatives related to diversity and inclusion have been put in a flow chart so that students and staff can see where to go for support, information and training.

Social safety at Kapteyn

Within the UG/Kapteyn Institute, we find it important that everyone can function professionally in an open and safe atmosphere. Social safety needs constant attention, which is why integrity is one of our core values. Any form of cross-border behaviour such as aggression, discrimination, sexual, or otherwise is unacceptable.
