If you are you looking for a degree and/or career in energy and sustainability, Groningen is the place to be. The University of Groningen offers several bachelor’s and master’s degrees that specialise in energy and sustainability. Not only in natural sciences, but also in law, psychology and economics, energy and sustainability are important topics. In addition, the University of Groningen offers pre and post academic education in energy and sustainability.
The three research institutes that offer a large part of the energy education at the University of Groningen are the Energy and Sustainability Research Institute Groningen (ESRIG) at the faculty of Science and Engineering, the Groningen Centre of Energy Law (GCEL) at the faculty of Law, and the Energy and Sustainability Centre (ESC) at the faculty of Economics and Business.
In addition to specialised energy tracks, there are also other possibilities to take up energy into your degree. For example, you can focus your thesis or (research) internship on sustainable energy solutions. The Energy Academy Europe (EAE) also offers additional (learning) activities.
