Johannes Bjerva successfully defended his PhD thesis

On December 7, University of Groningen PhD-student Johannes Bjerva obtained his PhD! He successfully defended his thesis One Model to Rule them all. Multitask and Multilingual Modelling for Lexical Analysis, which was supervised by Johan Bos and Barbara Plank. The examining committee consisted of:

• Grzegorz Chuprała (University of Tilburg)
• Gertjan van Noord (University of Groningen)
• Marco Aiello (University of Groningen)
• Antonio Toral (University of Groningen)

Afterwards there was a small workshop with talks from some of the committee members. Family, friends and colleagues of the new doctor had a very gezellige evening in Het land van Kokanje. Johannes is currently a post-doc in the Coastal group at the University of Copenhagen.
