Law Information Desk
The Law Information Desk, part of the Office for Student Affairs, is the first point of contact for Dutch students.International students are very welcome at our International Office.
The Law Information Desk is your port of call for:
- questions about degree programmes in Law
- making an appointment with a study advisor
- questions about our study advisors’ office hours
- questions about registering for course units, exams, seminars and tutorials
- submitting requests to the Board of Examiners
- requesting lists of marks
- questions about the ‘civil effect’ [civiel effect] and how to obtain it
You can also consult the Law Knowledgebase for questions about your programme, timetables, examinations, regulations, graduating, placements and/or other matters, or to notify us about changes to your personal circumstances.

*This means that you cannot visit the Information Desk on Fridays to pick up your degree certificate, list of marks, etc.
The Law Information Desk is closed on:
Friday 19 April (Good Friday)
Monday 22 April (Easter Monday)
Thursday 30 May (Ascension Day)
Friday 31 May (day after Ascension Day)
Monday 10 June (Whit Monday)
From Monday 15 July to Thursday 15 August, the Law Information Desk will only be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. (closed in the afternoons), and on Fridays will only be contactable by phone from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
From Friday 16 August, normal opening hours will resume (Mon to Thur. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Fridays only contactable by phone from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
You can consult the Law Knowledgebase for questions about your programme, graduation, placements or other matters, to notify us of changes to your personal circumstances, or to contact the Board of Examiners/study advisor [EH2] /Law Information Desk.
Any changes to the opening hours will be announced in the Nice to Know section of the Student Portal and on this website.
