In the period of March 2011 – June 2017 the Section organized and coordinated six Winterschools 'Children’s Rights in Health Care' for students of the Honours College of the University of Groningen. During the multidisciplinary sessions lectures and discussions were held under supervision of experts in various fields (medicine, ethics, law, psychology, theology, epidemiology, UNICEF, Defence for Children International, the Children’s Advisory Board of Amalia Children’s Hospital Nijmegen), excursions were undertaken (i.e. the Children’s Rights House in Leiden, the Herman van Veen Arts Center in Soestduinen) and public presentations were provided by all participating students.

This Winterschool has resulted in the publication of the book: Jozef H.H.M. Dorscheidt & Jaap E. Doek (eds.): Children’s Rights in Health Care , Leiden-Boston: Brill / Nijhoff Publishers, 2019, 651 pp.
