Career prospects

In the job market, there is a demand for graduates with a thorough understanding of technology law and the legal challenges that the continuously evolving technology sector presents. This Master’s programme is structured to prepare students for a career within this specific field and meet these demands.

Graduates of this programme can work in a variety of positions in the public and private sector, as digital technologies play an evergrowing role in all domains of the law. Lawyers with solid knowledge and understanding of how (new) technological tools and practices impact our laws will continue to be needed. Likewise, policy makers that understand the interplay of law and technology are a necessity within any organization operating in the digital realm.

Job examples:

  • Lawyer or other positions within the judiciary.
  • Policy officer within national or international organizations, regulatory agencies, or companies.
  • Consultant advising on organizations and agencies on best practices in technological regulation.
