Brief course description:
Students will gain knowledge on techniques to study policy, but also general knowledge on the policy process and how this process is being shaped. This will help them analyse policy or examine policy analyses of others.
Knowledge of factors that influence the policy process can help to analyse, evaluate and improve policy. Besides the concept and theories of policy science, this course introduces techniques used in policy analyses, such as problem structuring and cost benefit analyses.
