Schedule of courses

Law Courses in English for exchange students

The academic year of 2018-2019 is divided into 2 semesters which are divided into 4 teaching blocks. Each teaching block consists of 7 or 8 lecture weeks, immediately followed by 3 weeks of exams. The examination period at the end of teaching block 4 will have 4 exam weeks.

Below you can find the list of law courses we offer in 2018-2019. The course offer for 2019-2020 will be practically the same, although some minor changes may occur. As soon as the list is available, the website will be updated.

At Campus Friesland (city of Leeuwarden) students can also take some of the courses offered in the master programme: Governance and Law in Digital Society. Leewarden is one hour (train) away from Groningen

* Open to a limited number of exchange (law) students, for seminar enrolment: please contact the International Office at exchangelaw@rug.nl - 1st semester before 1 September 2018, 2nd semester before 3 February 2019
** Also open to non-law exchange students (all other courses are only open to law students)
*** entry requirement = Public International Law; either done in Groningen or similar course at home university
**** entry requirement = European Law; either done in Groningen or similar course at home university
***** entry requirement = a company law course; done at home university
****** entry requirement = a contracts law course; done at home university
