Students have to return the learning agreement/study programme to the International Office before they start their studies in Groningen. If the course list for the new academic year is not available yet, students should use the list of the current academic year.
After arrival students have to confirm and ask permission of the exchange coordinators in Groningen (Ms Astrid van Dort or Ms. Eleonora Goljan) to follow the courses of their choice. Depending on their proficiency in English and previous legal education, it may be necessary to change the previously signed learning agreement. Students should always inform the International Office and their home university of any changes in their study programme. For more information, please check the requirements. For students coming to Groningen for an exchange period in their master programme the Faculty offers a shortened LLM programme option.
In certain situations it is possible for exchange students to follow non-law courses at other faculties of the University of Groningen. However, permission is required from the International Office of the Faculty of Law, the home university and the International Office of the Faculty offering the course. Registration for such courses is only possible through the International Office of the Faculty of Law.
