Academic calendar
The academic year is divided into 2 semesters, which are each divided into 2 teaching blocks. Each teaching block consists of 7 or 8 lecture weeks, immediately followed by 3 weeks of exams. The examination period at the end of teaching block 4 will have 4 exam weeks.
For each course there are two exam possibilities per academic year; the exam and the resit. The exam dates of all written exams are scheduled at the beginning of the academic year. Once they are set, the dates of written exams cannot be changed.
We advise exchange students to arrive well before the start of the semester, so that they have the opportunity to attend the Faculty Introduction, arrange the necessary formalities and get acquainted with the town and the university. Students arriving late are not guaranteed admission to classes.
