Brief course description:
This course focuses on the laws and rules applicable to e-Commerce - that is the industry of buying and selling goods or services via electronic means. Most, if not all, e-commerce transactions use the Internet for at least one point of the transaction. The course gives insights into issues such as: liability for service providers, electronic contracts, online identification, financial technology, competition and online dispute resolution. The EU legislation on e-commerce is taken as the starting point.
