Borrowing from other libraries will change

30 January 2019

Do you make use of the possibility to request publications from another library (ILL-Interlibrary Loan)? From 28 January 2019, the University of Groningen Library and the Central Medical Library will switch to a new system for requests within the Netherlands. It will be easier to log in and make requests.

What will change?

Your ongoing requests will be handled as usual. You will no longer be able to submit an ILL request via Picarta, but instead via the ‘Request from another library’ button in SmartCat. You can indicate at which library location you would like to pick up your book. Articles will be delivered digitally. The new procedure will be evaluated mid-2019.
