Ben Feringa KNAW Vice President

On 1 June 2011, University of Groningen professor of Organic Chemistry and Academy Professor Ben Feringa will be appointed Vice President of the prestigious Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences ( KNAW ).

Two other University of Groningen professors will become Academy members on Monday 26 September 2011: Lodi Nauta , professor of the History of Philosophy, will join the Humanities and Social Sciences Division and Oscar Kuipers , professor of Molecular Genetics, will join the Science Division. Kuipers recently received the 2011 Simon Stevin Master award from the Technical Sciences Foundation (STW – Stichting Technische Wetenschappen).
