Doctor in Social Psychology, Leiden University. Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Groningen. Her research focuses on the consequences of identity issues for the functioning of individuals and groups in organizations. With this she tries to generate insights on work- related phenomena such as social exclusion and discrimination, socialization and turnover and deviance and influence in groups.
Time, Belonging and Resources: When women experience work-life balance and why this is important
In this presentation, Rink discusses recent findings illustrating what key mechanisms are causing men and women to experience work-life balance differently. In addition, she presents work demonstrating that this discrepancy has consequences for women's progression in the work place as well as for organizations with a diverse work force.
