Building digital literacy in the ELT classroom

Digital literacy is an essential 21st-century skill, yet it remains largely absent from many commonly used course books and teaching materials. In this workshop, we explore practical ways to integrate digital literacy into the language classroom. Drawing on examples from our own teaching practice, we demonstrate how targeted activities can help students navigate digital spaces more confidently and critically. Together, we will examine how language shapes interactions online and discuss strategies for helping students become more aware, critical, and responsible digital communicators.
