Promotion to Full Professor 1

A procedure for promotion to Full Professor 1 is organized approximately once every five years when there is a sufficient number of positions available. All Full Professors 2 who have been appointed for 5 years or longer can apply. The Faculty Board will appoint an ad hoc assessment committee (also known as the BC3), consisting of a number of Full Professors 1 from FSE and a Full Professor from another faculty, that will advise on the promotion requests. As the number of available positions is necessarily limited - the Executive Board of the University and the faculties have agreed the number of staff holding the position of Full Professor 1 at every faculty may be no more than one-third of the total number of Full Professors - the committee will be asked to compile a priority list of candidates.
