Welcome to your Programme

Dear student,

I am happy to welcome you to the Bachelor’s AI in Groningen, the programme you are about to start.

You have chosen well! Groningen is a great place to be for students. And AI in Groningen is a great programme. It is broad: it will give you insights in how our brain works and how we think and learn, it will teach you how to build intelligent systems, and how to think about ethical aspects of AI as well. And much more! What’s even more: we are in the process of adding new courses to the programme so the programme will be even more exciting in the future!

If you only want to learn how to be a (better) programmer, this is not the programme for you. But if you are a very curious person and would like to learn many things about human and artificial intelligence from many different angles and perspectives, then you have chosen well, because that is what our programme is all about!

You will have to do the work, but we we are all here to guide you through the programme and help you where we can. I can safely say that your teachers are all very dedicated, who you can always ask for help and advice, because we really care about you.

I hope you have a great time here at AI@Groningen, and I hope we will meet in person soon!
