The school is meant to be interdisciplinary, which means that students from all disciplines are encouraged to participate. The goal of the school is to learn with and from each other and to come up with new, creative ideas to tackle sustainability issues.
The summer school is designed for Master and PhD students with a fair level of background knowledge in sustainability issues.
Participants are expected to have an intrinsic interest in sustainability and are motivated to work in groups. They should be willing to invest time beforehand (studying cases and reading background literature if their knowledge is not up to date).
The summer school programme will start on Monday 9 July and end on Friday the 13 July. We recommend participants to arrive before Sunday 3PM, so they can participate in the welcoming activities.
Work load + certificate
The summer school will have a workload of aprox. 60-70 hours, depending on the participants' prior knowledge. After successful completion of the summer school, a certificate of attendance will be awarded.
It is expected that the participants have a sufficient command of the English language to actively participate in the discussions and to present their own work in English .
