Applications and admissions

Each summer school has their own set of requirements, which can be found on their individual web pages. You should always have a good command of English to actively participate in group discussions and be able to present a paper.

Application procedure

Each summer school has a simple application procedure. You only have to fill out the online application form on the page of the summer school, and upload the required documents.

The summer school coordinator will contact you within one week after you submitted your application, informing you of the procedure. Please note that this is not a confirmation of acceptance. Each summer school has a selection committee, that will decide on who will be admitted, to guarantee the quality of the audience.

Once you have been admitted, you will be notified as soon as possible, so that you can make travel arrangements. Please wait for your summer school notification that you have been admitted before making your travel arrangements!

Once you have received notification that you have been admitted, the summer school coordinator will inform you about the payment procedures. We accept payments via credit card, iDeal and bank transfer.

Depending on your nationality, you might need a visa for entering the Netherlands, a so called Schengen visa (short stay visa).

Please note that you can only apply for a visa after you have been admitted to the Summer School. If needed, your Summer School coordinator can provide an invitation letter. Please inform them well in advance, as soon as possible after you have received your (informal) notification of acceptance.
